At first, the title caught my attention. In French, it reads\u00a0Le Temps qui enl\u00e8ve la Vertu et les Arts<\/em>. However, the English version at the museum says \u201cTime Lifting up Virtue and the Arts.\u201d This raises an interesting question. Does \u201cenl\u00e8ve\u201d mean lifting up; or taking away?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These putti add a whimsical touch to the sculpture, symbolizing love, innocence, and the playful spirit inherent in artistic creation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
